Those crazy firefighters
A Montreal station captain has been demoted and transferred for being caught painting the windows of his station red, white and blue in support of the Montreal Canadiens’ playoff efforts. Now, the firefighters have been doing some not so great things lately as pressure tactics on the city during contract negotiations, but this just looks bad for the city administration.

Rick Astley must be stopped
The New York mets have announced that Rick Astley’s ‘Never Gonna Give You Up” received more than five million write-in votes in their web poll to pick a new eighth-inning sing-along song. The song was booed when played for the first time.

Crap I want to watch: My Boy Jack
Daniel Radcliffe is apparently branching out from only playing one character, or portraying himself only playing one character in self-mockery. In the upcoming BBC-produced film My Boy Jack, he plays the son of Rudyard Kipling. I’ll have to dig this one up eventually.

So I have approximately four dollars until this Thursday, which is the most lovely of days. That of course being payday. I’ve pulled off living on less for longer, however.
